Ok...

We did an unintended update of all three playlists.

We all got together with our songs and started dumping them in the Live365 site. But since we lapsed in our maintenance, they took away a little meg space.

So we went through ALL of the songs we had saved and created basically new lists!

I hope you all enjoy. Any questions, comments or suggestions are welcomed.

See some of you tomorrow at Cocteaufest!

Signed,
The Swirly Gang

Hello!

Before we begin, I feel we should inform you that this is a form post. Now, that being said, obviously you have listened to The Swirly Girl Channel (on Live365) and like some of the music there. So here is the story...

Life being what it is can sometimes consume us. In that regard, the three of us who operate The Swirly Girl Channel got sidetracked to other "things" (with me getting ready to propose to my sweetie in a few months). So the radio station fell into disrepair. Bills weren't paid, playlist weren't updated, and soon, poof!

However, over the past couple of months we have been doing some DJ gigs here and there and slowly started to get back into the shoegaze/ethereal scene. With Cocteaufest coming up, we took the bold step of becoming one of the sponsors. When they asked us what we wanted the miscellaneous flyers and t-shirts to say, we naturally said "Say the radio station!" However, the station was kinda defunct. But no more... We are back up!

That's right, The Swirly Girl Channel is back on the air free to all! Now if that was the purpose of your e-mail to us, well there ya go.

However, if you are a band/artist looking to have The Swirly Girl Channel play some of your songs either on the station or at clubs we DJ, then read on...

The Swirly Girl Channel
C/o DJ Gabby
P.O. Box 711213
Los Angeles, CA 90071

That be where you would send any sample CDs and such. Or you can e-mail us at this address for an alternative method.

Now, time for some links.

This is our station link (for those whom might have forgotten it)
http://www.live365.com/stations/shoegazergabby
Come reacquaint yourself!

One of us (usually me) will spin from time to time at this shoegaze club (Club Violaine)
http://clubviolaine.com/
Check out the set list for 7/30 to get a taste of what we play at clubs (it's under Gabby)

This is where all of us will be tomorrow (9/25)
http://cocteaufest.com/news.html
This is the worldwide annual Cocteaufest. Come say hi, eat, drink, dance!

Ok, I guess that is it for now. We are refreshed and ready to recommit to our love. Any questions, comments or suggestions, feel free to e-mail and we promise you will get a more personal response.

Cheers,
Gabby, Steve, Joan
The Swirly Girl Channel
